Workshop “Science Management Tools and Scientific Communication” with Prof. Dariusz Jemielniak
On 15th–16th May 2025, the Doctoral School of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn hosted an intensive workshop titled “Science Management Tools and Scientific Communication”, led by Prof. Dariusz Jemielniak – a distinguished management scholar, professor at Kozminski University, and faculty associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University.
The event was organized as part of the InTraDo project, funded by the NAWA STER Programme – Internationalization of Doctoral Schools, Task 10: Workshop “Science Management Tools and Scientific Communication”.
The workshop gathered academic staff and doctoral candidates of UWM, offering them the opportunity to explore modern tools for science management, publication strategies, academic career planning, and effective science communication – both within academia and in public discourse. Prof. Jemielniak shared his extensive research and practical experience, highlighting the importance of international collaboration, open science, and the role of digital media in scientific development.
The workshop was conducted in English and had an interactive format. Participants actively engaged in discussions, practical exercises, and case study analysis. The event was very well received – attendees appreciated the high substantive level, inspiring content, and professionalism of the facilitator.
The number of participants was limited to 25, and all spots were quickly filled, reflecting the strong interest in the topic of science management and modern scientific communication within the academic community.
