Dr. hab. Ewelina Olba-Zięty General Information: Assistant Professor at the Department of Genetics, Plant Breeding and Bioresource Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, member of the Scientific Council of the Centre for Bioeconomy and Renewable Energies, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. Graduate of the University of Gdańsk, Faculty of Chemistry and Pedagogical Studies, conducting research in the field of agriculture, economics, regulations impact assessment and assessment of the environmental impact of bioresources and bioprocesses in the bioeconomy. Conducting research also in the field of innovative technologies for converting biomass to bioproducts, biofuels and energy from renewable sources. The research includes assessment of sustainability, economic assessment including external environmental costs, environment assessment including the carbon footprint of production and conversion of perennial and annual alternative plants for energy and industrial purposes, logistics and processing and its cascade use. Assessment of the economic, energy and environmental efficiency of cultivation, production, logistics and processing of bio-raw materials. Characterization and assessment of the possibilities of using biomass and other renewable energy sources in the bioeconomy. Research interests also include statistical data analysis and information technologies in data analysis and visualization.
