Doctoral School at Women in Tech Summit 2025
On 4th–5th June 2025, the Doctoral School of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn had the pleasure of participating in the prestigious Women in Tech Summit, held in Warsaw. This international forum for women in technology and science gathers thousands of attendees from around the world each year, providing a space for inspiration, knowledge exchange, and valuable networking opportunities.
Our Doctoral School was represented by:
- MSc Eng. Magdalena Idzikowska – PhD student in Civil Engineering, Geodesy and Transport,
- MSc Magdalena Męcik – PhD student in Biological Sciences,
- MSc Luiza Milewska – staff member of the Doctoral School Office.
Throughout the two intense days, the participants promoted the UWM Doctoral School, shared their experiences as researchers and doctoral students in Olsztyn, and encouraged others to pursue academic careers. The University of Warmia and Mazury’s booth attracted attention with its modern graphic design, engaging promotional materials, and a popular spin the wheel game, which drew in many visitors!
The booth was filled with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors had the opportunity to talk to our doctoral students about research paths, participation in scientific projects and international cooperation, as well as learn more about the recruitment process for the Doctoral School.
Participating in the Women in Tech Summit was not only a great chance to promote UWM but also an inspiring experience — our representatives attended talks, workshops, and networking events with leaders from the technology and academic sectors from around the globe.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booth — see you at the next edition of the Summit!
